Introduction

Barcode scanning

New in MoPho version 1.1 is the introduction of Barcode scanning. Barcodes are used as the Folder Name where your images are saved to when sent. For Summit users, you will probably want to scan a barcode containing the Estimate Number for the vehicle.
MoPho supports a variety of barcodes so that it can be easily integrated into many workflows. Currently, MoPho supports scanning of the following barcode formats:
  • UPC
  • QR Code
  • Aztec
  • PDF 417
  • Code 39
  • Code 39 mod 43
  • Code 93
  • Code 128
  • EAN 13
  • EAN 8

Using barcodes

Barcode scanning

In MoPho you will scan barcodes right before sending. The scanned barcode's value is used as the folder name where your images are saved.
To scan a barcode, touch the barcode button on the Share screen. This button is located to the right of the Folder name field.
This will open the Barcode Scanner. On this screen there are two things to focus on. First is the Sun icon on the top left. This will turn on/off the 'Torch' or 'Flashlight' on your device if it is supported. This can be helpful in scanning barcodes in lower light conditions. Barcodes scan best when they are viewed straight on by your device. Try to center and straigthen the barcode on the screen until it scans.
To get the fastest scans your barcode should be well list, centered and straight and in focus. When the barcode finishes scanning you will hear a 'Shutter' sound just like the normal camera. MoPho will then bring you back to the previous screen and put the barcode into the folder field for you. You will want to hold the scanner over your barcode until this occurs.
